Peggy Glotzbach, MA Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor
Greetings! My name is Peggy Glotzbach, and I am Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the state of Illinois. I enjoy working with individuals, families and groups to improve functioning and a sense of wellbeing in their lives. Foundationally, I believe in meeting people “where they are at” before setting goals of “where they want to be”. My passion is to provide a safe place through the counseling relationship as the context for any growth. Your agenda will be my primary agenda.
Over the years, I have worked in variety of settings, with a variety of people, age groups, and problems. After receiving a degree in Psychology at the University of Illinois, I worked with runaway and homeless youth at a shelter in Bloomington, IL. Then while at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and earning a Masters in Counseling Psychology I worked on an intensive care psychiatric unit at Evanston Hospital. For the past 18 years, I have been working in an outpatient setting, treating mostly individuals, couples, and families.
Diversity is important to me therefore, I enjoy working with people of different religions, cultures, races, and ethnic backgrounds. Finally, in case you are curious, I am in my 40’s and a wife and mother of two elementary age children, one of which is a special-needs child.
I look forward to meeting you and hearing your story.
