Courtney Lynn

Courtney is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and pre-doctoral candidate in psychology serving clients in our Naperville and Wheaton offices as well as virtually through telehealth. Courtney has been offering individual, family, couples and group therapy in the community mental health and private practice setting for close to 20 years.

Courtney works with adolescents and adults throughout the lifespan in a client-centered, strengths-based approach. Courtney is able to diagnose and treat mental illness as well as provide counseling and support for life’s struggles.

Courtney has a clinical background of over 10 years working with patients hospitalized for psychiatric disorders and is currently on staff at a local hospital. Courtney holds a professional endorsement as a school social worker and has worked with students in the education system from ages PreK through high school. Other areas of practice have included working as a certified alcohol and drug counselor (CADC), partner abuse intervention professional (PAIP-domestic violence), and as a certified trainer in marriage and family workshops. Courtney is a US Army Veteran and is trained in post-traumatic stress disorder, traumatic brain injuries, and redeployment (family reunification) in the military.

Courtney works with each client to help them understand where they came from, where they currently are, and how to achieve collaborative treatment goals together in therapy.

Courtney draws upon modalities such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Faith-based counseling upon request.

Outside of the counseling office, Courtney enjoys spending time with her three children, giant breed dog and time outside in the sun!
